A two member delegation led by Sven O. Kullander, Senior Curator of Swedish Museum of Natural History and Professor of Zoology Department of Stockholm University, Sweden called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique on Wednesday at the latter’s office.
Another member of the delegation was Michael Noren, Curator of Swedish Museum of Natural History, Sweden. DU Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rob Mollah of the Department of Zoology and Assistant Professor of the same Department Md. Mizanur Rahman were, among others present on the occasion.
During the meeting they discussed different issues of joint research and project activities on Zoology. They mentioned about exchange and exposure programmes for DU students and faculty members in Sweden to enhance knowledge and skills in zoological studies.
Joint collaborative programmes can enrich both sides to contribute for the advancement of this domain of knowledge they added.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique thanked the Swedish team for their visit and keen interest on the university activities. He hoped that through mutual cooperation the existing bi-lateral relations would be further strengthened in future.
