Prof Henrik Kylin of the Department of Water and Environmental Studies of University of Linkoping, Sweden called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique on Tuesday at the latter’s office.
Chairperson of the Department of Chemistry of DU Prof Dr Nilufar Nahar and Prof Dr Md Shoeb of the same department were present on the occasion.
During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest especially joint collaborative academic and research programs on water and environmental issues.
They also discussed about importance of science in fostering development initiatives in the world particularly in the developing country like Bangladesh.
They appraised each other of academic and research activities of their respective university during the meeting.
The Vice-Chancellor thanked the guest for his visit.
He looked forward for further collaborations to explore opportunities to work on various important aspects of science and technology for the well-being of human kind.
He also hoped to further strengthen bi-lateral relations with University of Linkoping and University of Dhaka.
