Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed on Wednesday said Sweden has expressed interest to invest in Bangladesh’s Information Communication Technology (ICT) sector in a big way.
He said Sweden is also considering investment in potential sectors like pharmaceuticals, leather, shipbuilding and furniture.
“The Swedish investors will soon conduct feasibility study to pinpoint the potential areas for investment,” Tofail told reporters after his meeting with Swedish Ambassador in Dhaka Johan Frisell at his Secretariat office.
