Swani Zubayeer to perform solo live after nine years

National Film Award winning singer-music director Swani Zubayeer is coming back to the country’s music once again after a long break of nine years. The singer will perform at a solo musical show today evening at the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the city’s Segunbagicha area. Alongside performing from his various albums, Swani will also render Ghazal and Thumri at the solo musical evening.
While talking about his solo performance after long time break Swani Zubayeer told this correspondent, “As I was extremely busy with my personal life, I almost forgot that my solo performance for the audience is much needed right at this moment. Coming to this time, I wonder those who love my singing, even those who are not familiar with my music, and also for those who are interested to enjoy different types of music, it has now become mandatory to give my solo performance for all of them. Thus, I am doing this live show after a long time and I hope there will be huge response from the audience.”
Tickets (Tk 300) of the solo performance are available at Sagar Publishers and G-Series’ showrooms. Also, the ticket will be available in front of the hall before the show.
This noted musician won the National Film Award as the music director for the film Anil Bagchir Ekdin. His maiden album was Sara and his other albums include Nirjon Sakhkhor, Ajosro Kobita, Apna Khayal, Jugol Sondhi, Odbhut Andhar Ek and Chander Sarobore. He last performed at a programme live at National Museum in 2008.
