Swani Zubayeer is a singer and music
director at a time. He got the National Film Award for working as music director in Morshedul Islam’s Anil Bagchir Ekdin. Swani is the only singer in the Subcontinent who has the higher degree in Indian Classical Music and who also completed Honours and Masters in Western Classical Music Composition. He received the honour of ‘Composer of the Year’ in internationally reputed Germans
Music Public House in 2002.
It was a great pride for Bangladesh.
Swani informed that he is now engaged with compositing his new songs. Works of eight songs are going on now where lyrics and tunes are composed by Swani. Arrangements of music of these songs are done by Swani himself and Tanvir Daud Roni. Swani will lend his vocal for four songs while Tanvir Daud Roni will render four other songs. Recording of the songs will be done at Apple Web Studio of Ahmed Sabbir who completed Masters in Music Production and Sound Engineering.
Swani said, “This time I am trying to concentrate in different genres of music. There will be Thumri Bhanga song and Caribbean flavoured music. We are working cordially. I believe music-lovers will enjoy these songs.”
Swani Zubayeer’s last released album was Chander Sorobore. Aj Aamar Mon Bhalo Nei, Shudhu Shokher Jonno Pran-er Bodole, Sohoj Chokhe Ektu Shudhu Takao Aamar Dike, Nirjon Swakkhor are popular songs rendered by him.
