Swani Zubayeer is a singer and music director at a time. He got the National Film Award for giving music direction of Morshedul Islam’s movie Anil Bagchir Ekdin. Swani Zubayeer is the only singer of the Subcontinent who received training in the higher Indian classical music and also completed Honours and Masters in Western Classical Music Composition. This noted singer got the Germans Music Public House in the Composer of the Year in 2002. He also completed Masters in Music Production and Sound Engineering from Norway.
Now Swani is busy with releasing his new eight songs, which lyrics and tunes were composed by the singer himself, and music are arranged by Swani-Tanvir Daud Roni. He has been passing busy times for compositions of these songs, which recording will be done at Ahmed Sabbir’s Apple Web Studio. Basically Ahmed Sabbir will make music videos of these songs.
While talking about releasing his new songs Swani Zubayeer said, “Due to Coronavirus, many works remained stalled. This time I am concentrating to different types of music. This time Thumri, Bhanga Gaan (song) and songs of Carribean flavour will take place in these new songs. I have been working cordially in this regard. I strongly believe listeners will get something new in these songs and they will enjoy these.”
Today is Swani Zubayeer’s birthday. He will turn 48 today. He said he will pass the day along with his family.
It is mentioned that Priyanka Gope got the National Film Award for rendering song under Swani Zubayeer’s direction. As a music director, he worked in Akram Khan’s movie Ghasphul, Morshedul Islam’s movie Ankhi O Tar Bondhura and Aka Reza Galib directed movie Kaler Putul. Chander Sorobore was his last released solo album.
