On July 15, in the city’s Bashundhara Convention Centre a concert titled Sharmila Tagore Jeet Ganguly Live in Dhaka is scheduled to be held.
To take part in the concert, legendary Bollywood actress Sharmila Tagore and Indian singer and music director Jeet Ganguly are coming to Bangladesh. Popular TV actress Zinat Shanu Swagota and director Debashish Biswas will host this show.
Organiser of the event and CEO of Channel Live Entertainment Ananna Ruma confirmed it on Wednesday.
While talking about hosting the event Debashish Biswas told this correspondent, “I am fan of Bollywood’s Rajesh Khanna. Sharmila Tagore acted in many films against Rajesh Khanna. She is also granddaughter of Rabindranath Tagore. She also acted in Bengali films. Overall she likes our initiative. She will be present in front of me – it really a wonderful matter in my life to think. I am grateful to the organisers to give me the opportunity to host the show.”
Swagota shared her feelings by this way, “I am grateful to Ananna Ruma Apu for giving me the opportunity to host the event. I am feared slightly because I will have to host the concert in front of such a legendary actress like Sharmila Tagore. It will be a challenging matter for me. From childhood I was brought up to watch her acting. So I am also feared in this regard.”
Ananna Ruma informed that besides Sharmila Tagore and Jeet, from Bangladesh Tareen, Chandni, Nipun, Nadia will also perform in the concert. Part of Bangladeshi artistes will be hosted by Sithi Saha.
