Sylhet Correspondent :A faction of pro-Awami League teachers of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) started work abstention on Thursday protesting the attack on them by Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) men on August 30 and demanded immediate removal of its Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Aminul Haque Bhuiyan.Source said, the teachers under the banner ‘Mohan Muktijuddher Chetonay Udbuddho Shikkhakgon’ started the programme around 9am and it continued till 5pm. The final examination was, however, kept outside the protest purview.On the other hand, pro-VC and BNP-Jamaat teachers were seen to take the classes during this time.Among the teachers, those who demanded immediate removal of VC, came under attack by SUST BCL men on August 30 at the time of observing their pre-scheduled sit-in program.
