Shahjalal University of Science and Technology Vice-Chancellor Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed said that no student can get up in class or get up in university residential hall without vaccination.
He told this to The New Nation on Tuesday (October 19). At this time Vice-Chancellor urged the students to get vaccinated quickly.
He said, arrangements have been made to provide vaccinations for students at the University medical center, he said. All students can get vaccinated here. If any student of the university has not registered for vaccination through the surokkha app or birth registration provided by UGC, then they can also come to the medical center and show the ID card of the university and can get vaccinated.
The vice-chancellor said no student can get up in classes without vaccination. Also, if they want to get up in residential hall, they have to get at least one dose of vaccine. Moreover, no student will be allowed to stay in the hall.
“Since students will not be able to attend classes or get up in residential hall without getting vaccinated, I urge all students who have not been vaccinated to get vaccinated quickly,” he added.
He also said that arrangements will be made for the registration of students’ national identity cards on campus after the opening of the university.
