A court here on Thursday placed a suspended constable of Benapole Port Police Station on a five-day remand for reportedly giving confidential information to Indian police.
The suspended police constable is Prasad Saha, son of SurendranathSaha of Terokhada upazila in Khulna.
Jashore Judicial Magistrate Saifuddin Hussain passed the order when investigation officer of the case sought a 10-day remand for Prasad.

On October 25 last, members of Directorate General of Forces Intelligence and Rapid Action Battalion held an army man and seized a pen drive containing valuable information from a hotel at Kamalapur in Dhaka.
Later, Prasad was found involved in leaking information. He was arrested from Mirpur area in the capital on Tuesday.
