The suspected Bangladesh Bank (BB) officials over the reserve heist from BB’s account of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York are under surveillance.
The investigators are monitoring their activities inside and outside of the Bank office. Plainclothes detectives are always moving to and fro on the 8th and 9th floor of the BB’s new building. Messages have already been sent to airports and borders so that the suspects cannot flee the country. All of the suspects are from the dealing room and Information and Technology (IT) departments, said officials engaged in investigating.
Sources said some corrupt officials tried to conceal the matter even after Fed authority informed them of the heist. CID men are quizzing the officials from the very beginning of the investigation. Many of them are being taken to the Malibag office.
