Chittagong Metropolitan Police on Wednesday alerted country’s all the air and the land ports so that the Mahmuda Khanam Mitu murder suspected killers couldn’t leave the country.
Letters had been sent to all the air and the land ports by this time, said Assistant Commissioner Mohammed Kamruzzaman, Investigation Officer of the case.
The five suspects are Musa, Rashed, Nabi, Shahjahan and Kalu.Meanwhile, six persons have been held so far in connection with this case. Two of them have been shown arrested, who, according to police, confessed in a Chittagong court that they had killed Mitu.
On June 5, three assailants stabbed and shot Mitu dead when she was taking her son to the school bus stop at GEC intersection in the port city.
The deceased was the wife of Police Super Babul Aktar, who spent most of his time in curbing militancy. Police interrogated him even at Dhaka DB Office in this connection.
