Suspected Indian gambles on 3-days remand in Ctg

A court has remanded three Indian nationals arrested on suspicion of being involved in an international ‘gambling’ ring from the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium area during a Bangladesh-West Indies Test match on third days.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mohiuddin Murad’s court granted them remand on Monday (February 8) at noon.
The three suspicious are Sunil Kumar (36), Chattan Sharma (33) and Sunny Magu (32).Police wanted them in remand for seven days for questioning. The court remanded them for three days after the hearing.Investigating officer and city detective police inspector Kamruzzaman told the media that the court had granted three days remand to the accused.
Earlier on Saturday last , members of the National Security Intelligence (NSI) detained the three at the main entrance of the stadium in Sagarika area around 2.30 pm. They were later handed over to Pahartali police.
