Surovi is trying to establish herself in folk songs and she has already become successful in this path. For this reason, the singer remains busy
during the season of stage shows. Recently Surovi is getting positive response from the music-lovers for her last released original track titled Premer Moja. Takbir Hossain wrote lyrics
of the song while M MP Roni has composed its music. However, in the beginning of last month, Surovi’s another song titled Bhalobasar Pan Supari was also released on a YouTube channel. Ronok Raihan has composed music of the song besides writing its lyrics. HM Rubel was co-singer of Surovi in this song. Surovi said, “I am getting response for my released songs frequently.
I dreamt to establish myself in the field of folk music. For this reason, folk songs are my devotion. During the season of stage performance I have to remain busy for the demand of rendering folk songs. Everybody prays for me as I can get success in the long run. In the meantime,
with everybody’s cooperation I want to step
forward in the field of folk music.”
Now Surovi has an exceptional demand and popularity of folk songs among the music-lovers. She has already won the minds of many people rendering folk songs elsewhere in the country. Recently Surovi and SI Tutul rendered a duet modern folk song titled Tumi bhinno ami bhinno, dui bhuboner duijon shunnyo, poro jonome hobe hobe dekha, na jaiyo na jaiyore pran sokha got popularity among the music fans. For this reason, Surovi has become more serious in folk songs rather than previous times. The singer believes that not to render maximum number of songs but if it is less number of songs with having quality, then Surovi will remain pleased. Surovi informed that she has released a song with noted Indian playback singer Kumar Shanu which lyrics were written by Bishal and music was composed by Robin Islam. Title of the song is: Mon kancher aynate tui, khub kore toke chhui. Surovi got primary lessons in folk songs from her mother Anwara Begum. She likes songs of Rajjab Ali Dewan, Sabina Yasmin and Runa Laila. Surovi’s father Abdus Sattar always inspires her for rendering song. “My new song titled
Kal shafe dongshilo kolijai will be released soon. Ronok Raihan has composed the song including its lyrics. HR Liton has arranged music
of the song,” Surovi added.
