An anti-adulteration mobile court of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) on Monday fined the super shop ‘Agora’ Taka three lakh and five thousand for using formalin in fish and fruits.
CCC executive magistrate Namita Biswas led the mobile court and imposed the financial penalty on ‘Agora’ located in the ground floor of Afmi Plaza near city’s Probortok Circle. Namita Biswas said the super shop was fined and severely alerted as the mobile court found existence of formalin in the fruits and fish being sold at the shop.
