Sunnydale clinched boys’ division title of the Polar Ice Cream 24th School Handball tournament beating St Gregory’s High School 19-16 goals in the final held on Monday at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali Handball Stadium.
On the other hand, Viqarunnisa Noon School and College clinched the girls’ division title defeating Scholastica (Uttara) by 11-3 goals in the girls’ division final held at the same venue.
Besides, Dhaka Residential Model College and Shaheed Anwar Girls College finished third position in the boys’ and girls’ divisions defeating BISC by 24-12 goals and Shaheed Nabi School by 8-7 goals in the third-place deciding matches respectively.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr Biren Sikder attended the finals as the chief guest and distributed the prizes while Chief Executive Officer of Dhaka Ice Cream Limited Shah Masud Emam was present as special guest.
