Sunil Joshi of India is now the new Spin Consultant Coach of Bangladesh Cricket team.
Media Manager of BCB Rabeed Imam said to this Reporter on Tuesday, ” Sunil Joshi arrived in the city on Tuesday. Sunil Joshi has been appointed Spin Consultant Coach of Bangladesh National Cricket team. BCB signed an agreement with Sunil Joshi for a short term. Sunil Joshi will work with the spinners of Bangladesh National Cricket team marking the upcoming two-Test Australia series.”
Earlier, BCB sacked Spin Consultant Coach Ruwan Kalpage of Sri Lanka in August last year.
Later, BCB tried to appoint Stuart MacGill of Australia as a Spin Consultant Coach of Bangladesh team. But BCB was not successful to appoint him.
Sunil Joshi, who is now 47, played 15 Test matches and 69 ODI matches before he retired from playing cricket.
Joshi captured 41 Test wickets, while bagged 69 ODI wickets.
After one year, BCB has appointed a Spin Consult Coach for Bangladesh National Cricket team.
Bangladesh will play two Test matches against the touring Australia. The first Test match will be taken place at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur from August 27 to August 31. The second Test match will be held at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong from September 4 to September 8.
