Members of the Coast Guard of the Western Zone raided Jamtala area in the Eastern Division of Sundarban forest and seized a mechanised boat laden with 25 hundred Cft cut banned Sundari wood worth Tk.60 lakh on Monday.
Lt. Commander S.M. Fazlul Haq, Operation Officer of the Coast Guard of Western Zone said that that acting on a secret information , a mechanized boat laden with huge quantity of cut Sundari wood was waiting at Jamtala area within Kachikhali forest station office under Sharankhola forest range for selling wood and seized the mechanized boat and recovered 25 hundred Cft Sundari wood from it.
