The Summit-DRU Media Cup Cricket final will be held today at the Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium (MBNHS).
In the day’s quarter-final matches at the same venue, Daily Star defeated Channel 24 by five wickets, Channel i overpowered RTV by 66 runs, Alokito Bangladesh eased past Inqilab by 77 runs, Bangla Vision beat The Report 24 by 25 runs.
After the quarterfinal matches, former captain of Bangladesh National Cricket team Mohammad Ashraful, General Secretary of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) Razu Ahmed, News Editor of Channel i Zahid Newaz Khan, News Editor of Bangla Vision Badrul Alam Nabil, Sports Editor of Channel 24 Dilu Khandker, Editor of The Report 24 Touhidul Islam Mintoo, News Editor of Daily Star Abul Kalam Azad distributed the prizes among the winners. Sports Secretary of DRU Mojibur Rahman conducted the prize-giving ceremony.
Today Daily Star will meet Channel i in the first semi-final at 9.30 am, while Alikito Bangladesh will take on Bangla Vision in the second semi-final at 9.30 am.
The winners of the two semi-finals will face each other in the final at 11.00 am.
All the matches will be held at the (MBNHS).
