In the opening day’s matches, Kalerkantho defeated Bhorer Kagoj by five wickets, bdnews overcame Sangbad Pratidin by 43 runs, Jai Jai Din overwhelmed Amader Orthoneeti by five wickets, GTV overpowered banglanews by five wickets, Amar Din beat Manabzamin by 13 runs, Channel i thrashed Kalbela by 78 runs, Amader Shomoy edged past BTV by one wicket in Super Over, Boishakhi TV defeated UNB by five wickets,
Meanwhile, Naya Diganta got walkover from Sharebizz on the same day.
President of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Nazmul Hossain Papon, MP, inaugurated the cricket competition as the chief guest, while Director of BCB Jalal Younus, Director of BCB Ismail Haider Mallick, Director of BCB Lokman Hossain Bhuiyan, CEO of BCB Nizam Uddin Chowdhury, President of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation Md Atiqul Islam, Managing Director of Standard Bank Limited Mamun-Ur-Rashid, Chairman of KN Harbour Consortium Rezaul Haque Chowdhury Mushtaq were present as special guests.
