Popular TV actress Sumaiya Shimu got the opportunity to work as ‘goodwill ambassador’ of an international organization which is operating in Bangladesh. After Eid, Shimu started to work as goodwill ambassador of Relief International. With the team of this organization she has already visited Rohingya in Cox’s Bazar recently. She talked with Rohingya children there and shared their sufferings.
While sharing her feelings to work as goodwill ambassador of Relief International Sumaiya Shimu told this correspondent, “It is really a great achievement for me. This honour is not only liking but also having many loves. As an actress, we should work for the social responsibility. I feel proud to be part of an international organization as its goodwill ambassador. I shall try my level best to do for them.”
Sumiya Shimu informed that she has been working with this organization heart and soul but she has not fixed time period how long she will have to work for them.
Meanwhile, Shimu has completed her PhD work under Dr Afsar Ahmed in Jahangirnagar University recently. Her viva examination is to be held soon. In last Eid, Shimu acted in Salauddin Lavlu’s serial Monsur Mala, SA Haque Alik’s Swghoshito Goyenda and others.
