Lux star Suma Afrose has already passed 10 years in her acting career. During this time she also regularly performed as a model in different TV commercials. Hailed from Gazipur Suma started her career in media through Lux-Channel i Superstar contest in 2005. She secured the fourth position finally.
After the contest Suma first performed as a model in a TVC of Lux under Amitabh Reza’s direction.
She came into limelight to work with Litu Anam in a TVC of Fair & Lovely under Parvez’s direction. She first acted in a play titled Ek Nijhum Aronney under Rumana Rashid Ishita’s direction. It was Valentine’s Day’s a play.
In the beginning of her career Suma’s mentionable work was Salauddin Lavlu directed Eid play Konkaboti. She played the title role in the play.
She got many offers to work in big screen. Despite having interest she did not act in big screen due to mismatch of her schedules. Right now she is acting in Mohon Khan’s serial Neer Khonjey Gungchil and GM Saikat’s DB. Recently she has performed as a model in a TVC of pipe under Monir Hossain Jibon’s direction. Last week its shooting was held in the city’s BFDC area.
Suma also performed as a model in a video of Nancy’s song titled Bhalobashboi boley. Chandan Roy Chowdhury has made the video. Shipon Mitra was her co-actor in the video. This song has become popular to all on Youtube.
Suma has been studying honours in a private university in the city’s Uttara area now. She has to take part in shooting to come from Gazipur, she said.
