On the occasion of birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Ekushey Award winner noted music composer and director Sujeyo Shyam gave direction of five new songs. On behalf of Bangladesh Betar, their selected singers Yousuf Ahmed Khan rendered the song Dusswapner Ghore Kete, Nishita Barua and Sabbir Zaman rendered song Banglar Ghore Ghore Pothey Ghat Prantore, Priyanka rendered song Baba Benche Thakle, Dinat Jahan Munni-Haimanti Rakshit rendered the song Apon Mohimate Tobuo Bangladesh and Kamal Ahmed rendered song Bongobondhu Bongomata Bongokonnya Tumi. Recording of these songs have already done, according to Betar authority. While talking about these songs Sujeyo Shyam said, “I never thought I could return to work after illness. God wanted so I could return to work.
But I could not believe that I got the
opportunity to give music direction of five
new songs on the occasion of Prime Minister Shaeikh Hasina’s birthday. It is really a great achievement for me. I cannot express my
feelings in a word. To come into this stage of my life, I have full confidence about my works. The singers who lent their voices for these five songs under my direction they sang really well. I wish their success. These songs will be broadcasted on Betar round the day on the birthday of Sheikh Hasina. Kabir Bakul wrote all these songs.” Sujeyo Shyam got the National Film Award as Music Director in 2002 for Hason Raja, in 2004 for Joyjatra and in 2010 for Abujh Bou. He for the last time was present as judge in RTV’s reality show, Banglar Gayen. He
was born in Sylhet on March 14 in 1946.
