Surprising but true that a bridge of Ghanosham Masterpara, Tushvander Union of Kaliganj Upazila under Lalmonirhat district went down under water due to heavy flood despite passing a long time of the flood in this area. Common people and students are to suffer from overtaking the bridge.
On 20 June , Our correspondent bears witness the scenario. The reconstruction of the bridge is yet to start because of heavy tide of water.
Because of not renovating the bridge ,People of the both sides of it are passing days in absolute and untold pains of communication. Local people inform ” Such an another bridge was sunk before this.
Why aren’t the elected representatives standing beside us in such rainy days is not known to us?” A college student of suffered area, Tawhid Hasan informs that Our Village Protection Dam is broken down during the flood of August in 2017, the whole village is over flooded. The bridge and several important roads of the village are collapsed but yet to begin reconstruction. Besides these, The roads of the both Upozilla Parishad and that of Union Council are not also being reconstructed .It is known that 10 to 12 goods loaded tracks go on the village for business purpose everyday. Conscience group believe,” If the roads of the village are reconstructed and extended, the area will develop rapidly. Regarding the perspective, Kaligonj Upozila Engineer said that application has been sent to honourable M.P to renovate the collapsed bridge. Chairman of Tushbhander Union Council said, “
It has been applied to reconstruct the bridge. It as soon as possible be reconstructed.” Upozila Parishad Chairman Mahbubuzzan said,” Initiative has been taken to rebuild the bridge along with approving newly.”
