The unexpected sudden increase of CNG auto-rickshaw, paddle run land battery run rickshaws in the port city left the city into a traffic gridlock very recently which aggravates the traffic movement severely on ahead of Ramzan. The numbers of roadside hawkers, floating venders, makeshift commodity venders have already increases centring the Holy Ramadan .In last week, about 180 unregistered vehicles were detained by traffic police, sorces said. Ahead of Ramzan , different kinds of transports are entering in the city and the seasonal hawkers pouring in the city and occupying the footpaths illegally, sources said.
Centring these reasons, traffic congestions go to the peak stage and indiscipline in traffic management for the last one week. According to police sources, construction of flyovers, installations of WASA pipe line and related road expansion and development work and eviction of bill board programs are the main roots of the congestions. Unregistered paddle run and battery run rickshaws also creating severe congestion, sources said.
