Successful year for Bangladeshi films

The year 2015 has passed with a number of hits. Several movies were critically acclaimed national and international reconations.
Shakib Khan secured top position among his contemporaries this year. Like previous years, the Dhallywood heartthrob and Apu Biswas paired up for a number of films this time. His second film “Purno Doirgho Prem Kahini-2” with Jaya Ahsan’s was laso a successful . Shakib also worked with popular TV actress Tisha in a movie, “Mental”.
Arifin Shuvo entertained the audiences with his powerful acting all year round. His film “Chuye Dile Mon” released at the beginning of the year. He also signed a new film with Mahi. Apart from this, he worked with Tisha in “Ostitto”, besides acting in another film with a fresher. He also attended children’s musical reality show “Khude Gaanraj” as a guest judge.
Jaya Ahsan passed the year successfully. Her films “Ekti Bangalee Bhuter Golpo” and “Rajkahini”, directed by Srijit Mukherji, released in Kolkata.
Her film “Rajkahini” earned huge popularity. On the other hand, Jaya-starrer “Zero Degree” released in Dhaka.
Mahi, one of the top heroines became the talk of the town as all of a sudden, she flew to USA and announced that she would not be seen acting in any films from now.
However, she returned home after a few days. The viewers received her film “Agnee 2” warmly. Later, she was back to feature films, with a project based on Humayun Ahmed’s novel “Krishnopokkho”.
 The year(2015) was a good year for Apu Biswas and she appeared in a number of films which were commercially successful. She returned to TV commercials after a pause for four years. She also worked with Indian actor Indraneil Sengupta in the film “Samrat”.
On the other hand, Ferdous had busy shooting schedule in Dhaka and Kolkata. Three of his films released in December: “Anil Bagchi’r Ekdin”, “Sumoner Swadhinota” and “No Chhoy”. He also produced his second film this year.
Nusraat Faria, who made her debut with Bangladesh-India joint production “Aashiqui” and made quite a splash was cast for a Bollywood film opposite Emraan Hashmi.
Rubel directed a film after eight years this year. Jyotika Jyoti-starrer “Anil Bagchir Ekdin” released at the end of the year.
Bidya Sinha Mim acted in several films. Her film “Black” also released in Kolkata.
A number of movies were invited to international film festivals, and brought back awards. They were “Meghmallar”, “Jalaler Golpo”, “Gariwala” and “Ghashful”.
 Therefore 2015 was a successful year for the country’s film industry.
