Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim called upon all in the society to extend cooperation to bring down mothers’ mortality rate due to childbirth to zero saying that Bangladesh achieved unthinkable success in reducing mothers’ and child mortality rates.
But, he said many women still die now in the country due to complexity in pregnancy and childbirth.
“Lack of awareness and child marriages are playing role in this regard. So, everybody should come forward to strengthen the awareness campaign in this regard.”
