Newly imported railway bogies from Indonesia have been added to the Subarna Express inter-city service of Railway in East zone. These new bogies were put on service from from Chattogram Railway station at 8 am.
Sardar Shahadat Ali, General Manager (Additional Charge), Eastern Railway was present on the occasion. When asked, he told the media that the old bogies of the Subarna Express train had been removed and new bogies brought from Indonesia had been added. This is one of the many steps taken by the Railway Minister Nurul Islam Sujan to provide modern and improved services to the passengers..White China bogie was added to the Subarna Express train on the Chattogram-Dhaka Section in 2006. After 14 years, these white bogies have been removed and blue pink bogies of Indonesia have been added. .However, the number of seats in the new Subarna Express train have been reduced by 9. Whereas there were 699 seats earlier, the new bogies have 690 seats.
Railway East Divisional Manager Sadequr Rahman told the media that new bogies from Indonesia were recently added to the Subarna Express train.
