The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka yesterday deferred the submission of investigation report in the Faisal Arefin Dipon murder case to July 3.
Sunday (yesterday) was earlier fixed for submission of the investigation report in the case filed in connection of the murder of Jagriti Prakashani publisher Faisal Arefin Dipon. However, the investigation officer failed to submit the report yesterday and Magistrate Golam Nabi of the CMM Court fixed the new date.
On October 31, 2015, two blogger publishers- Ahmedur Rashid Tutul and Faisal Arefin Dipon were hacked brutally in two separate attacks.
Later, Dipon, owner of Jagriti Prakashani, succumbed to his injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital while Tutul, owner of Shuddhashwar, could survive the attack.
The victim’s wife Razia Rahman filed he case with Ramna Model Police Statiion. Dipon was the only son of Dhaka University’s Bangla Department professor and writer Abul Kashem Fazlul Haque.
