The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka yesterday deferred the date for submission of the investigation report in the case filed in connection with the murder of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mizanur Rahman Talukder, to November 15.
Magistrate Ziarul Islam of the CMM Court fixed the new date yesterday as the investigation officer Sirajul Islam of the case, who is also the inspector of Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Branch Police, failed to submit the report.

Magistrate Ziarul Islam of the CMM Court fixed the new date yesterday as the investigation officer Sirajul Islam of the case, who is also the inspector of Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Branch Police, failed to submit the report.
Earlier, on June 21, the ASP of Savar Highway Circle, Mizanur Rahman Talukdar was killed by unidentified assailants. However, hours after he left his Uttara residence of the city to perform his official work at Kaliakoir in Gazipur, the incident happened.
Later, the victim’s brother Masum Talukdar filed a murder case with Rupnagar police station.
