Niloy murder case: Submission of probe report now July 15

The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka yesterday (Tuesday) deferred the submission of the investigation report in the Blogger Niladri Chattapaddaya (Niloy) murder case to July 15.
As the investigation officer of the case, Dhaka Metropolitan
DB Police Inspector Sheikh Mahbubur Rahman, could not submit the investigation report on Tuesday, Magistrate Aminul Haque of the CMM Court passed the order fixing the new date.
About three years ago, on August 7, 2015, Niloy, an activist of Gonojagoron Mancha, was killed at his Goran residence in Khilgaon of the city by four assailants with machetes introducing themselves as prospective tenants.
On the night of the same day, Nila’s wife Asha Moni filed the murder case with Khilgaon Police Station accusing four unidentified persons.
Rifat, known as IT expert of Ansarullah Bangla Team, gave a confessional statement in the court under Section 164 of the CrPC.
