The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka yesterday deferred the submission of the probe report to April 11 in the case filed for killing former host speaker of
Channel i Television- Nurul Islam Faruki. Magistrate Majharul Islam of the CMM Court fixed the new date as the intelligence agency CID did not submit the report on Sunday.
On August 28, 2014, miscreants slit the throat of Maulana Faruki at his East Rajabazar house in the city. He was an anchor of popular “Kafela” and “Shantir Pothe” programme of private television-Channel I and My TV. He was also the International Affairs Secretary of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat.
