Rajib's death: Submission of probe report June 10

A Dhaka court on Wednesday (May 9) fixed June 10 for submitting the probe report of the case filed over the death of college student Rajib who lost hand being sandwiched between two buses competing on city road.
Dhaka Metropolitan magistrate Golam Nabi fixed the new date as the probe officer and Shahbagh police station
sub-inspector Altaf Ali failed to submit the report on Wednesday.
The two accused of the case are- BRTC bus driver Wahid, 35 and Sajan paribahan bus driver Khorshed, 50.
Earlier on April 5, court placed both of them in two-day remand and they were sent to prison on April 8.
On April 3, Rajib, a third-year student of Government Titumir College, lost his right hand after it got stuck between two speeding buses trying to overtake each other in the capital’s Bangla Motor area. On April 4, police detained the two drivers.
Rajib on the other hand succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on April 17. On May 8, the High Court bench of Justice Salma Masud Chowdhury and Justice AKM Jahirul Haque directed the authorities of BRTC and Swajan Paribahan to compensate with Tk 1 crore to the family of Titumir College student Rajib Hasan.
