The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka on Monday deferred the submission of the inquiry report in the Blogger Avijit murder case to December 11.
Magistrate Golam Nabi of the CMM Court passed the order fixing the new date as the Police Inspector Monirul Islam of Police Counter Terrorism Unit did not submit the report yesterday, as directed earlier by the court.
Avijit Roy, a writer and founder of Muktomona Blog was killed and his wife Rafida Afrin Banya injured in an attack near the Teacher Student
Centre (TSC) on Dhaka University campus on February 26, 2015. Later, the victim’s father Dr Ajoy Roy, a former Professor of Physics Department of Dhaka University, lodged a murder case with Shahbagh Police Station of the city.
