The Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court of Dhaka on Monday deferred the date for submission of the investigation report in the case filed over the murder of blogger Niladri Chattopadhyay Niloy to October 13.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Ashek Imam set the
new date yesterday as the Investigation Officer of the Detective Branch (DB) could not submit the report in the court yesterday.
Earlier, the Investigation Officer took time on several scheduled dates to submit the report in the case.
On August 7, 2015, blogger Niloy was hacked to death by a group of assailants at his rented flat on the 4th floor of a multi-storey building at Goran in the city.
Later, on the same day, victim’s wife Ashamoni filed the murder case with Khilgaon Police Station against four unidentified miscreants.
