The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka yesterday fixed August 26 for submission of the investigation report in the case filed on the charge of bomb blast against 14 persons including BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
Magistrate Devdas Candra Adhikari passed
the order fixing the date as the Investigation Officer of the case could not submit the report on Thursday.
According to the case statement, members of Muktijoddha Parishad assembled in front of BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan office in order to organize a rally as a way of besieging it under the banner of their organization on February 16, 2015.
Allegedly, in the intention of murder, the accused people threw bombs on the rally which was led by former Shipping Minister Shahahan Khan.
Later, General Secretary of Dhaka Vehicle Union, Ismail Hossain Bacchu filed the case over the incident against 14 persons including BNP Chief Khaleda Zia.
