Marking the 13th anniversary of ‘StrayBird’, a leading literary and cultural forum of the Department of English of Stamford University Bangladesh (SUB) organized a stage drama titled ‘A Celebration of Women’ written by Prof Niaz Zaman and directed by Zakia Noor Matin, Assistant Professor of the Department of English of SUB at its Siddeshwari campus on Monday. Students from different batches of SUB English Department performed in different types of famous literary characters of different era in both English and Bangla literature.
Prof Mohammad Ali Naqi, Vice Chancellor as well as Chairman of the English Department of SUB, inaugurated the program. Prof Niaz Zaman was present at the inaugurating ceremony as chief guest. Faculty members, the alumni along with the present students also attended the ceremony.
StrayBird since its foundation continues to flourish the literary productions on stage along with developing the cultural notions from the root.
