A sub national youth summit was held at Shabash Bangladesh premises in Rajshahi University (RU) with the call for building the youth as nation building workforces.
More than 500 students from Varendra University, North Bengal International University, Rajshahi College, Darush Salam Kamil Madrasha and the host Rajshahi University (RU) joined the summit held on Wednesday. Secretary to the Youth and Sports Ministry Mesbah Uddin addressed the ceremony as chief guest, while RU Vice-Chancellor Prof Golam Sabbir Sattar was in the chair.
Principal of Darus Salam Kamil Madrasha Dr Shahidul Islam and UN Representative Nadim Farhad also spoke, reports BSS.
Secretary Mesbah Uddin urged the youths to be united along with science minded for establishing knowledge based society with the spirit of the Great War of Liberation.
He also called for forging social resistance against the crimes related to drug abuse, terrorism and militancy through community mobilization and that can be the best way of establishing peace and tranquility everywhere in the society.
