UNB, Dinajpur :Three sisters were killed and their mother was injured as hornets put poisonous stings in their bodies at Araji Loskora village in Birganj upazila on Saturday night.The deceased were identified as Hadisa Khatun, 5, Farzana, 3, and Mim, 1, daughters of Md Islam, and their mother Rahima Khatun. Fakhrul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Birganj Police Station, said a hornet hive broke down from a tree close to their house after being hit by strong wind in the afternoon while the three siblings were playing under the tree. Later hornets from the hive stung them, leaving all the three critically injured.Their mother also met the same fate as she came to their rescue. They were rushed to Thakurgaon General Hospital where Hadisa and Farzana succumbed to their injuries.As the condition of the mother, Rahima, and Mim were critical, they were shifted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital where they died early Sunday.
