Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni called upon the students to build themselves as confident persons in pursuit of principles and humanity to make their marks for the betterment of the country. “You would have to build yourselves by optimum utilization of your skills and abilities to take ahead society. You would have to be ideal citizens of the country possessing humanitarian qualities,” she said this on Sunday while speaking at the closing ceremony of annual sports competition-2019 of Eden Mohila College at Azimpur here.
The minister said the government would further take ahead the achievements made in the last 10 years. “We want to face challenges in the education sector to provide a quality education to our new generation,” she said. Dipu called for practicing cultural and sports to widen the physical and mental growth in right track. Mentioning women’s participation in all sectors, she said participation of both male and female is must to take the country ahead.
Secondary and Higher Education Division Senior Secretary Md Sohrab Hossain, Technical and Madrasah Education Division Secretary Md Alamgir, Secondary and Higher Education Directorate Director General Dr Syed Md Golam Faruk, Eden Mohila College Vice-Principal Prof Tahmina Akhter and Bangladesh Chhatra League’s Eden College unit convener Taslima Akhter addressed the function, among others. Eden College Principal Prof Shamsun Nahar chaired it.
