Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Sunday urged the students to work for materializing the ideology of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to make the country a ‘Sonar Bangla’.
“My aim is to implement the ideology of Bangabandhu… I would like to urge you (students) to work for implementing his ideology,” he said while delivering a solo lecture at Dhaka College Auditorium here.
Channel-i organized the solo speech of the education minister for school, college and madrasha students, said an official handout.
Nahid said the new generation is not poor in merit. They are meritorious of the world standard and they will build a developed Bangladesh, he added.
“Bangabandhu dreamt of building an exploitation-free developed Bangladesh…The next generation will have to come forward to realize his dream,” the minister said.
Later, Nahid gave answers of different questions from the students.
Secondary and Higher Education Division Secretary Md Soharab Hossain, former Advisor to Caretaker Government Rasheda K Chowdhury and Dhaka College Principal Md Moazzem Hossain also spoke on the occasion.
