Students urged to grow up as skilled human resources

Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Akhtaruzzaman urged the students to prepare themselves as skilled human resources to face different challenges of fourth industrial revolution. Teachers and students of the university had played pioneering role in creating Bangladesh as an independent country, he said this while addressing as the chief guest at an orientation programme of the first year honours students of different departments under the Faculties of Arts and Law of DU at the TSC auditorium, organised by Students’ Counseling and Guidance (SCGO) Office of DU. “Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was a student of the DU Law Department,” he said, adding that the students must learn glorious history of this university and preserve it to take forward the nation. Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof Dr Muhammad Samad, Dean of the Faculty of Arts Prof Abu Md Delwar Hossain and Dean of the Faculty of Law Prof Md Rahmat Ullah addressed the programme, with Director of SCGO Prof Mahjabeen Haque in the chair.
Chairmen and Students Advisors of different departments were present on the occasion.
