Students urged to get involved in creative works

State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid urged students to get involved in creative works apart from their studies.
“Students should prepare themselves an ideal and aware of their development. They must try to be the best ones,” he said this on Thursday while speaking at the inaugural session of the 12th DRMC-Summit National Science Festival-2019 at Dhaka Residential Model College here.
The state minister said the exercise of science sharpens the practical knowledge of people, including students. “We should continue the efforts of increasing the science practice.”
Based on reality and needs, he said, pilot project should be taken and fund must be mobilised in this regard.
Chaired by Brigadier General Ashfaq Iqbal, the science festival was addressed, among others, by Additional Managing Director of Summit Group Faisal Karim Khan.
The three-day science festival will feature project display, wall magazine, scrapbook display, photography exhibition, Olympiad, IQ test, science fiction writing, quiz, Sudoku competition, mobile photography, programming contest, robotic workshop, general Olympiad, informatics Olympiad, chess and LFR competition.
