Students urged to become man of moral values

Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman urged the students to become a man of moral values instead of a man of success. Being a man with moral values is more important than achieving only successes, said VC on Tuesday while addressing the orientation programme of 1st year Honours students of different departments under the Faculty of Arts of DU at TSC auditorium The programme was organised by Students’ Counseling and Guidance Office (SCGO) of DU.
Akhtaruzzaman called upon the students to prepare themselves with the combination of merit, truthfulness, patriotism and honesty with an aim to take the leadership of the country in future, said a DU press release.
Students must equip themselves with the spirit of Liberation War to serve the nation, the VC added.
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Dr Muhammad Samad and Dean of the Faculty of Arts Prof. Dr. Abu Md. Delwar Hossain addressed the programme as special guests with Director of SCGO Prof Dr Mahjabeen Haque in the chair.
Chairmen and Students Advisors of different departments were present on the occasion.
