Speakers at a meeting called upon the students to become enlightened citizens through developing a sense of patriotism.
Students should to learn quality education to build themselves as skilled workforce to boost development process in the country, they told the meeting.
Netrakona Foundation organised the meeting on Saturday in public hallin Netrakona for distributing stipend money amounting among 151 secondary and higher secondary levels poor and brilliant students of different schools, colleges and madrasas of the district.
Eminent writer Professor Jatin Sarker addressed the meeting as the chief guest with Deputy Commissioner Netrakona and also President of the foundation Main-UL-Islam in the chair.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ICT) Netrakona Abdullah-AL-Mamun, President of Netrakona sadar upazila unit of Awami League SM Bazlul Kader and Deputy Director of Social Welfare Department in Netrakona office Mohamamd Alauddin, among others, addressed the meeting.
