Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sharif on Saturday called upon the students to build themselves as ideal citizens by acquiring knowledge of science and modern technology for building a ‘Sonar Bangla’ as dreamt by Father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and digital Bangladesh of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He made the call speaking as the chief guest at a function marking the inauguration of newly constructed building of Atghoria Pilot Model School. The minister said country’s current modern education system has attracted the children and enriched them with the knowledge of information technology.
Presided over by Atghoria Upazila Awami League President Shahidul Islam Ratan, the function was also addressed by Pabna Additional District Magistrate Munshi Maniruzzaman and Atghoria Upazila Nirbahi Officer Alimul Razib, among others.
The minister formally inaugurated the new school building constructed at the cost of Taka 1.24 crore.
