The closing ceremony of a four-day Active Citizen Youth Leaders Training was held at Matuail Hazi Abdul Latif University College of Demra in the capital on Tuesday. Hunger Project Bangladesh organized the training.
Samir Ranjan Samadder, Vice Principal of the College inaugurated the training workshop while Reduanul Haque, Head of Bangla Department, Murshiqul Islam Shimul, Regional Coordinator of the Hunger Project Bangladesh were the special guests. About 32 participants joined the workshop. Among them, 14 are female and 18 are male participants. In the concluding session, participants designed 2 social action projects for raising awareness of the community people. In the inaugurating session, Samir Ranjan Samadder said self-development through leadership evolvement is the key to develop a nation. Youth is the proper time to develop leadership. I think, these students are lucky to get such training.
Special guest Redunul Haque said, we are very much committed to our students. We are always ready to help such types of activates. I would like to thanks Hunger Project to implement Active Citizen Youth Leaders Training in our institution. He also said, extracurricular is the effective tool to develop self-development. This training is out of syllabus. Any type of training would make skilled citizen. But we have lack of skilled citizen.
For this reason, this training is the important for nation building.
British Council is the donor organization of Active Citizen Youth Leaders Training. Md. Shamim Hossain, Mausumi Mou, Saiful Islam and Zillur Rahman were the facilitators.
