Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon said students along with their guardians and teachers will lay siege on BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s office soon, if she (Khaleda) doesn’t call off ongoing hartal-blockade that is affecting education system most.
“You (Khaleda) won’t be able to protect yourself even after putting barbed wire fence around your office from mass anger,” he said this on Thursday while speaking as the chief guest at a human chain in front of Motijheel Ideal School in the city.
Students, teachers and guardians of different education institutes of the capital organized the human chain protesting continuing of hartal and blockade during the SSC examination.
Referring to history of the country’s political movements, the minister said every political movement of the country had kept examination out of its programmes. Education life of a single student was not fallen under risk.
He said the history never forgives Khaleda Zia for what she is doing now in the name of political movement by keeping 15 lakh of students under mental pressure.
Terming killing people by petrol bomb is crime against humanity, Menon said Khaleda Zia will also face trail like Nizami-Gholam Azam for involving herself in crimes against humanity.
“Election is the only way to go to state power. So there is no other way but to wait till the next election,” he said.
