About 5,000 students from different schools of Sylhet district took part in an anti-corruption oath taking ceremony on Friday.
The swearing in ceremony was arranged by Sylhet district unit of Durnity Protirodh Committee in association with the district administration on Sylhet Sadar Upazila premises in the City.
Sadar Upazila Parished Chairman Asfak Ahmed, ADC Shohidul Islam Chowdhury, ADC SM Ferdous, President of district unit of Durnity Protirodh Committee Jubair Siddiki, Sectary Belal Ahmed, Advocate Mujibur Rahman, Advocate Ataur Rahman Azad spoke on the occasion.
The speakers termed the students the future leaders of the country and asked them to be imbued with patriotic and anti-corruption spirit.
Besides, a human chain and a colourful procession were also arranged in the Sylhet-Jointa Road in the District.
Chapainawabganj Correspondent adds: About 2,200 students of different schools of Chapainawabganj district took anti-corruption oath on Friday. The swearing in programme was arranged by Chapainawabganj district unit of Durnity Protirodh Committee with the association of Chapainawabganj district administration on the Harimohon Government High School premises in the town. The swearing in programme was conducted by the law maker of Chapainawabganj sadar constituency Md. Abdul Wadud. Among others, deputy commissioner of Chapainawabganj Md. Mahmudul Hasan and general secretary of the Chapainawabganj district unit of Durnity Protirodh Committee Mosiul Karim Babu spoke on the occasion. The speakers termed the students the future leaders of the country and asked them to be inspired with patriotic and anti-corruption feelings. Besides , discussion, a human chain and a colourful procession were also arranged.
