Students protest in districts continues

Students across the country have been continuing their demonstration demanding safe roads, justice and punishment to the killer drivers.
In Chittagong, several thousand students took to the streets at WASA intersection and in the New Market area on Saturday.
The students tried to gather in the Customs House area, but the Jubo League men and the CBA leaders of Chittagong Port Authority foiled their attempt. In Rajshahi, several thousand students formed a human chain programme at Shaheb Bazar Zero point for two and half hours starting from 10:00am. They chanted slogans for safe roads and removal of the Shipping Minister whose smile and comment on July 29 accident angered the people.
In Narayanganj, around 2,000 students were seen controlling traffic at Chashara, and checking driving licence and forcing the motor bikers to wear helmets.
In Moulvibazar, over 1,200 students coming from different schools blocked different points of the district and were on the road till filing of this afternoon.
They were chanting slogan. “We want justice”.
In Savar, Abdullahpur-Baipail and Nabinagar-Chandra highways were under the blockade of the students since morning, our Savar correspondent reports.
Around 300 students of different schools and colleges took part in the blockade programme.
In Natore, students of different institutions took position near Madrasah intersection and Rajpur Bazar area of the town since morning. The demonstrators with the help of law forcers checked the driving license and documents of vehicles.
